This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you install and use the Advanced Product Importer Shopify application (the "App"). By installing and using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you install and use the App, we collect the following types of information:

A. Information from Shopify

To provide our services, we request access to certain information from your Shopify store via the Shopify API. This includes:

• Store Information: Your shop domain (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com).
• Product and Inventory Data: We require read and write access to your products, variants, inventory, and metaobjects (read_products, write_products, read_inventory, write_inventory, etc.) solely for the purpose of importing and creating products on your behalf.

B. Information You Provide Directly

• Spreadsheet Data: When you upload XLSX files, we temporarily process the product data contained within them to execute the import.
• Image Files: When you upload ZIP files containing images, we temporarily process these images to optimize and attach them to your Shopify products.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information exclusively for the following purposes:

• To Provide the Service: To authenticate your store, process your uploaded spreadsheets and images, and create products in your Shopify store.
• To Improve the App: To analyze app usage, troubleshoot errors, and improve the functionality and user experience of the App.
• To Communicate with You: To provide customer support or send important technical notices regarding the App.

3. Data Storage and Retention

• Authentication Tokens: We securely store your Shopify access token in our database to authenticate API requests on your behalf.
• Temporary File Storage: Uploaded XLSX files and extracted images are stored temporarily on our servers strictly for the duration of the import process. Once the import is complete, or if the process is aborted, these files are permanently deleted from our servers.
• Data Deletion: Upon uninstallation of the App, we will automatically delete your store's access token and any associated configuration data from our database in compliance with Shopify's data redaction requirements.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party hosting or infrastructure providers who assist us in operating the App, subject to strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Shopify Mandatory Compliance Webhooks

We comply with Shopify's data protection requirements and have implemented the following mandatory webhooks:

• customers/data_request: We do not store customer data, so no action is required or taken.
• customers/redact: We do not store customer data, so no action is required or taken.
• shop/redact: When you uninstall the App and request data deletion, we will purge your store's access token and records from our database within 48 hours.

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including secure HTTPS connections, HMAC signature verification for all incoming webhooks, and secure encrypted database storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
